The Role: Protecting the Planet
Most companies want to be the best in the world; Patagonia wants to be the best *for* the world. As the Director of Sustainability, your job is to make sure every jacket we make is kind to the Earth. You look at where our cotton comes from, how our factories are powered, and how we can recycle old clothes. You are the 'environmental conscience' of the company, ensuring that our business grows without hurting the planet.
Core Duties
- Lead global environmental initiatives and carbon footprint reduction programs.
- Oversee the 'Worn Wear' recycling and repair program.
- Audit international supply chains for environmental and social responsibility.
- Collaborate with product teams to find new, eco-friendly materials.
Salary & Benefits
Salary range: $150,000 - $210,000. Benefits include childcare at the office, environmental internships, and 'Let My People Go Surfing' flexible hours.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in corporate social responsibility (CSR) or environmental science. Passion for the outdoors and environmental activism.
