The Role: Protecting Innovation
When our engineers invent a new, super-fast computer chip, they have created something very valuable. Your job is to protect that invention with the power of the law. As Legal Counsel, you make sure no one else can steal our ideas (Intellectual Property). You write the contracts, solve legal puzzles, and defend our 'recipes' for technology in court. You are the legal shield that allows our scientists to keep inventing the future.
Responsibilities
- Manage patent filings and intellectual property litigation globally.
- Draft and negotiate complex technology licensing agreements.
- Advise engineering teams on legal risks related to new product development.
- Ensure compliance with international trade and semiconductor laws.
Compensation
Total pay: $175,000 - $250,000. Intel offers great stock options, sabbatical leave every 7 years, and a comprehensive health plan.
Requirements
JD degree and active Bar membership. Experience in patent law or technology transactions is essential.
