The Role: Predictive Shopping

Imagine you have a crystal ball that tells you exactly what people will want to buy three weeks from now. At Walmart, data is that crystal ball. As a Data Analyst, you look at billions of transactions to find patterns. If people in Texas start buying more umbrellas, you help our systems make sure every Walmart in Texas has enough umbrellas before the rain starts. You turn numbers into convenience for millions of families.

Responsibilities

• Build dashboards to track real-time sales performance across 4,000+ stores.
• Use SQL and Python to extract insights from massive cloud-based data lakes.
• Work with store managers to optimize product placement and pricing.
• Present data-driven stories to executive leadership to guide investment decisions.

Compensation

Base pay: $115,000 - $155,000. We offer stock purchase plans, 100% tuition coverage for many degrees, and a robust relocation package.

Requirements

Strong proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI). You must be able to explain complex statistics in simple, actionable business terms.
