Accelerating Sustainability
Tesla is building a world powered by solar energy, running on batteries and transported by electric vehicles. Our Gigafactory in Texas is the heart of our production.
The Role: Engineering the Future of Motion
Think about the door handle of a car or the hinge of a trunk. It has to work perfectly 100,000 times, in the freezing cold and the burning heat. As a Mechanical Engineer, you design these parts. You take a piece of raw metal or plastic and turn it into a high-tech component that is both strong and beautiful. You are a modern-day inventor, using computers and 3D printers to build the physical parts of the world's most advanced cars.
Responsibilities
- Design mechanical components and systems using CATIA or SolidWorks.
- Perform thermal and structural simulations to ensure part durability.
- Work on the assembly line to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Select and test new materials for weight reduction and safety.
Salary & Benefits
Expected pay: $120,000 - $170,000. Tesla offers stock options, medical benefits, and the chance to work on products that are changing the world.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Strong hands-on experience with prototyping and a passion for sustainable technology.
